My love affair with the harp has been growing for the past six years.  Ever since I learned how to play my first note I was hooked.  By the end of my first year of harp lessons, I was playing in public and performing at weddings.  I have been fortunate enough to have a wonderful harp teacher and composer Cindy Kleinstuber Blevins who taught me to play both the lever and pedal harps.

I own several harps ranging from a lap harp, three floor model lever (folk) harps and one concert sized pedal harp.  I frequently get asked, “What is the difference in harps?”   The biggest difference in a harp is the size of the sound board which has a dramatic effect on how the sound quality is projected from the harp.  The kind of wood used to make the harp also is a factor in how rich the tone of the harp is.  The other big difference is that some harps have levers for changing key signatures while others use pedals at the base to change keys and accidentals.

Over the past six years I have played at a variety of venues for weddings which include out door vineyards, parks, lawns at private houses, as well as churches and banquet halls.  Anywhere a couple chooses to have their wedding, I can bring a harp.

If you’re looking for an experienced harpist who loves to play and whose rates are very reasonable, give me a call or email.  I give free consultations for weddings.

I’m available for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, churches, nonprofit events, grand openings and any special occasion where heavenly music is needed.
